Before we get a drivers license, mostly of us will get an instructor to teach us how to drive "properly". Normally, I can tolerate Student Drivers on the street because I was one of them. I would say I have the most proper instructor. I may run yellows now and then but that's my decision or lack of. Overall, most people who sat in my car thinks I am a safe driver. I may not be good like a racer but I am safe and my passengers are all in one piece.
Today, at an intersection, there were TWO student drivers waiting to turn left. I was thinking one is bad enough because they usually take their sweet time to wait for no oncoming cars then turn. There were two of them and they were the first two to go on a green. As I was waiting, I noticed the second car has a female instructor. I have to be a bit sexist here but women are not better drivers than men. Sure, hate me or bash me for it. It's true. Though, some women are good drivers but many others are not. As I was saying, I didn't have a good feeling about the second car and I was right. She didn't correct on her student's left-turning when the student over-steering at a small angle and she allowed her student to turn while there was an oncoming car turning right and into the same lane. A good instructor, like mine, would tell the student to let the guy turned right first because they might cut to the other lane immediately and they have the right of way. After turning left, I followed them and they were going at snail speed of 40km/h. They were cars stacking behind us because they decide to drive below the speed limit and the car on the other lane was going around the same.
As I passed them and went on to another street, there were TWO other student drivers. What's going on today?! I didn't see the other one but I was once again following another one. This time a male instructor. Not doing a good job, I may add. Why? The gap between them and the car in front of them is big enough to put in another sedan. Why do you stop that far? I just don't like it when there is space in front of them and they don't move up. Even daily commute at a red light. They like to stop 3-5 feet from where they were intended to stop. WTF, PEOPLE?! The instructors are setting bad examples for their students. It's good to have a safe distance from the car in front of you but not a whole car length! Please accelerate after you turn left or right and don't stop or slow down in the middle of it when there are no cars!
